What is Important?

In order to unite the Ummah, even adherence to Tawheed and Sunnah have been relegated to the back seat. The religion which is known as the religion of Tawhid, for which the Prophet (Peace be upon him) struggled for thirteen years in Makkah, was stoned and went through all the trials, for which Bilal (May Allah be pleased with him) was dragged through the rocky lanes of Makkah for saying: "Ahad! Ahad!", burning embers were placed on Ammar's (May Allah be pleased with him) chest, Sumaiyyah (RadiyAllahu Anha) - such a soft soul - was martyred.

The nursing baby of Umm Sulaim (RadiyAllahu Anha) was taken from her, the people of Taif stoned the Prophet (Peace be upon him), the Companions were made homeless and exiled from their own land, armies were driven against them and they were put in a situation to fight and defend.

They were tied in chains and beaten up, Khubaib (May Allah be pleased with him) was hanged. Before them, the people of Ukhdud were thrown into the fire, the people of the cave had to hide for years. Ibrahim (Upon him be peace) was put in the fire. It is a never ending list of events of sacrifice of lives and wealth.

The question to every thinking Muslim is, why all of this? For governance? To make the education or society of Muslims better?

The Kuffar who hurt the Prophet (Peace be upon him) so much; asked for only one thing. That the Prophet (Peace be upon him) talk about unity, and should not say anything about Shirk and Kufr, then they would live happily. They even offered the throne and the crown to him, if he stopped advocating Tawheed.

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) like all the Prophets (Peace be upon them) before him, replied that he was not here to call towards unity but towards Tawheed. He was not here to tolerate Shirk and Bid'ah but to erase it. He was sent as a mercy to mankind, but still he fought.

The sole reason for the wars which were imposed on him, was to spread the message of Tawheed, (to worship the creator alone) not to form a united community devoid of Tawheed.

In the Quran, Allah has clearly mentioned that all the Messengers, the people of the cave etc were sent to spread the message of worshipping the creator only and stop from Shirk.
